The Petsafe PIG00-15958 YardMax® Cordless In-Ground Fence™ System is an innovative in-ground containment system for dogs and cats weighing 5 lbs and above. The system consists of a cordless, waterproof, battery-powered transmitter that sends signals through the buried boundary wire. When the pet wearing the receiver collar is about to cross the boundary wire, the collar sends out a beeping sound, hence grabbing the attention of the pet dog or cat. If the pet continues beyond the boundary, the collar gives a surprise static correction, available in 5 adjustable levels. The collar also provides a tone-only setting that alerts the pet with a beeping sound only.
