The SportDOG SDF-CT in-ground fence system is safe and effective for all dogs over 10 pounds and covers up to 100 acres of area. Installation is simple as installing the wire around the perimeter and plugging in the transmitter with the included adapter. Your dog wears a collar that receives a signal from both the Fence Transmitter and the Remote Transmitter. Collar Receiver and Remote Transmitter have rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

The system comes with 3 modes of operation that are Containment Mode,Training Mode and both mode together. This delivers mild corrections through two contact points on the collar that touch your dog's neck. If your dog crosses the established boundary, a correction will be sent to get your dog's attention, but will not harm him/her. It works on three different operation mode and In Containment and Training Mode, the Collar Receiver will respond to both the radio signal sent from the Fence Transmitter through the Boundary Wire and the radio signal sent from the Remote Transmitter.
