East to replace. I should have ordered this a long time ago. My doggie door gets full sun and had long ago become warped and discolored. The magnetic strip no longer made contact. You just have to remove the four frame screws and one end screw to slip in the new flap. Now it’s just like when we originally installed it.
Absolutely easy to replace and such great quality! Our dog door came with the house when we bought it, but the instructions to replace the flapper made it super easy.
We have five dogs and we got very tired of letting them in and out, so we put in the dog door and it works perfectly. We have to order a new flap when the old one finally gives out---usually from a lot of wear and tear. The new flap is easy to install.
We had our old doggy doors for over 20 years. They still worked great, but were so dirty I decided to buy new ones. The replacement flaps were easy to install and fit perfectly. Customer service was also great in helping me exchange them when I ordered the wrong size the first time.

We've had the door for 15 years and love it. The dogs wear out the flap every few years and it gets replaced. I like the ease of ordering and the quick delivery.
I bought this 10 years ago and so far the only thing that needs to be replaced are the plastic flaps. I have 3 very active dogs and this proved to be a good product. Now I just need to get the replacements and this would be good for another 10 years. Also Whre I live there is a very harsh weather hot and cold.
We bought a PetSafe pet door many years ago. It allows our cats and dog to go out to a screened-in patio. The flap was getting kind of grungy, despite being cleaned over the years. Ordering a new flap for a very old pet door was very easy on this site. When the flap gets grungy again, I'll hop on the site and order a new one. Easy peasy.
What a great product, we have had this system now through two sets of furbabies. It's easy to replace the flap and once replaced it's just like it was when we first installed it in door over 15 something years ago.
Our old flap was about 16 years old! Over MANY summers and winters, it warped and let in too much cold Minnesota winter wind. The new one was super easy to install. Looks really clean and straight. Thanks for a great, long lasting product.

Been using these flaps for a number of years. When you have many cats, this saves $$$ by not having let them in or out all the time. They learn quickly how to push it open.
i went through the same place i bought the door and ordered two different doors they were both wrong. then about two years latter an add pops up and it showed me where and how to order this replacement flap and it came and it is freaking perfect , thank you so much
I have been searching for a new flap and cover for the older- classic medium pet door. I found both up on their site and ordered both. Timely shipment and now my older pet door looks brand new!
After 10 years and countless thousands of ins/ outs by out two little furry kids, the original door flaps wore out. Excellent instructions, a Phillips screwdriver, and 15 minutes late both inside and outside flaps were changed. Door now good for another 10 years. Excellent product.
Replacement for the pet door we had gotten used.Easily to replace. The only thing is if this is for a cat, the magnets are a bit on the strong side. Probably not an issue for dogs (we don't have any dogs). For cats, pushing through with their delicate faces and then dropping on their long tails on the way out is obviously not comfortable. A quick and easy fix - put some thin masking tape on the magnets - they still work but not so aggressively. Other than that is a great door and appreciate an easy replacement part.
The product itself is fantastic! However for the type of frame I have, the plastic screws got hollowed out when I tried to take the frame apart to replace the flap. I really like the pet door and luckily for me i was able to save 2 screws. Lol. It keeps the frame i. Just fine :o)
If the replacement flap lasts another 14 years, I'll be thrilled. Was a little shocked at the cost of (1) replacement flap, but considering it's the outside flap and it's exposed to 100* temps in summer and -30* to -40* below zero here in Minnesota, and gets alot of use, a small price to pay
I was having a hard time matching the doggie door flap I needed to replace with a new one since my old flap was no longer available. I ordered what I thought was a match but when it arrived it needed some simple modifications before it was installed. It works great and should last for a few years.
We were very happy with the fit and ease of changing out the flaps. We didn't realize there was just one flap per unit until we opened the box. The original door came with 2 flaps so we assumed there were 2. While disappointed, we ordered again to get another flap. Wish this had been more clear.
