I would definitely recommend this doggy door to anyone, especially people with different size dogs.
Very pleased with this doggy door. Works well with our LARGE dog and our chihuahua. Doesn’t develop a memory if one sticks her/his head out or sits in the door for awhile. Closure magnet keep the door closed, without hindering our smaller dogs coming and going, in all but very strong winds.
The replacement door was easily installed and fit perfectly into the existing frame. Magnetic stop is operating as expected. Would have been nice to have included new screws in the kit.
Stands up very well to the beating this flap gets from three rambunctious siberian huskies!!! Would definitely reccomend this product along with the actual doggie door that houses the flap!!! Both hold up very well.
The flap was easy to install. I had to remove the inside panel to put the flap in place, but the addition of the installation kit made it quite simple.
This was the third time I had to replace the flap. The first one was chewed, second one was chewed by a different dog. The third one cracked after a brutal winter and five years of service.
It was everything I expected. Its light gray color is nicer than the former clear one which showed the dirt from 2 dogs going in and out all day. My husband installed it in about 5 minutes. Highly recommend!
Very easy to install. It doesn’t fit as well as the original one did in the beginning but it’s better than the condition of the original after years of use.
My dogs have never had a problem using this doggie door but the color of the door has changed. First door I got was clear, this one is a gray color and they cannot see through it and will not use the door unless I push the door open so they can see out. Kind of defeats the purpose of the door.
The flap is difficult to insert and to adjust the length for a correct closure. I still can' t get a correct fit. I would recommend this product, but add the difficulty I've had. It is well made and exactly the same flap as the original in my dog door.
The top screw heads rip the plastic soon after use unless tightened down firmly. And then they do rip off fast. I tried to add a small metal washer to distribute the pull but it slips fast and I have to loosen the screws and reposition the flap near the top.
The raised part on the upper part of the flap were smaller then the old one. I had to drill another hole in frame and put in a new screw to hold the flap in or it would fall out.
The system works well once you figure it out. That's the good news.
The printed instructions for the transmitter are arranged poorly and hard to interpret. I had to search the web to find a video that showed me how to set up the transmitter.
The buttons on the transmitter are marked with symbols that don't really show what they do - except for the flashlight.
Once I figured all this stuff out, the device worked well for me. The vibrate mode makes our dog stop barking as I hoped it would.
We’ve had ours for about awhile The flap does not seal on the sides anymore. Lots of flies getting in. I’m just wondering if a new flap will fix the problem. It looks like it shrunk.
Our pet door has two flaps, and the picture implies that both are included. Instead we received only one. Also I had to purchase washers because the plastic was so pliable it pulled off the screws.
