I have two overweight cats that cannot be pacified no matter how many times you feed them throughout the day! This timer feeder bringsthat wasteful, unhealthy lifestyle to a close! My cats are eating on a scheduled, timely fashion and losing weight more according to their fitness chart! Must have for insatiable pets!

So I got this for my 2 cats at first they were not happy they would run out of food and have to wait for a machine instead of their human to instantly refill their bowl but then we went away for 2 days and they realized just how wonderful it was to not depend on anyone anymore....so my cats dont love me for food anymore but hey they are always fed. They have they schedule figured out and its not super noisy when changing to next meal.

I picked this out before a weekend trip and waited until the last minute to get it set up. At first, I was really pleased - it seemed super simple to setup. But then I discovered that it needs 4 D batteries, which are NOT included. And so I was forced to improvise for the weekend and it took me a couple of weeks to get excited about trying again.

Once I finally got some D batteries, I got the whole thing set up in about 5 mins. The program is easy to setup, and easy to adjust. Which I found was useful in the first few days as I found the best feeding schedule for my cats.

Before getting the Pet Feeder, I was feeding my cats once a day. Now, they're getting fed 2x a day and seem to be much happier. In the end, the cats get fed twice as often, and I only need to feed them half as often - win win for all!

I originally got this pet feeder for my dog to take on trips since she has been dumping her food bowl lately, and then use at home after. She has always been weird about food holders (tried putting a bowl in a mat before and she refused to eat until it was gone...). I thought this had about a half and half chance. She didn't like the rotation, but would get past that after a short bit and eat her food. I believe I am going to use it for the cat now instead since not much bothers them and it's very simple to use. Easy set up, fill the slots and let it work until time to refill. It will be put to use with one or the other and I like the product. It does exactly what I wanted it for.

I had a friend who works out of town for a couple of days a month so I gave the Feeder to her and she loved it for her chihuahuas. She said it worked great and it made her life easier for her and her mother who takes care of the dogs when she is out of town. Was told it was a life saver.

I would highly recommend this product. It is made of very durable plastic. I use it for my medium size dog and because my dog only eats half of it, it can go a full 10 days before I have to refill it. It is very easy to set up.

To use you must have 2 D size batteries that will allow you to program the pet feeder which you could set to feed twice or just once a day. My Carly is over weight. A recent trip to the vet let us know that she needed to slim down a bit. Leaving food out for continuous consumption was not working. So instead of having to fill her dish up with measured portions multiple times A-day, I now just use this machine and she is fed on a schedule. Which I find to be wonderful because she seems to go throughout her day more awake perky, and sleeping at regular intervals. I will say that I totally expected this to have a humming or ticking sound. However, it did not. It only took one day for Carly to get used to it.

She will have up to 5 meals pre planned and ready to go if I have an extended emergency or what have you.
The digital timer is super easy to program. Reading the instructions once is all it took.

I love the PetSafe 5-Meal Pet Feeder. My cats like to eat multiple times a day so this is great for them. You can measure out up to 1 cup of food for each compartment. Then set it with the digital timer to dispense at certain times. It is great! I would recommend this product to all animal owners.

My 5 meal pet feeder is a game changer!!! My dog is an over eater and feels he needs food in his bowl at all times of the day and night. ( He would wake up at 2 am to eat.) This has helped to regulate his food and the intake as well. Love this feeder!

I recently began using this for my little yorkie dog. It makes feeding and treats very easy and convenient to use. Fill up once and you're done! Program it to a set schedule and it works like a charm. I like that it's battery operated since I have no outlets where I feed him. I also read batteries last a while. So. That's a plus. All in all, great product.

This is such a great automatic feeder. You can pre-program the feeding times and go about your daily business. Definitely helps with portion control with my over zealous dog that doesn't seem to know when she is full, but will continue to eat till she gets sick. After trying other feeders; this one seems to be the quietest of them all.

I received this to use and I love it ,I have 4 cats all who.eat at different times of the day and some times fight over food .This product helps eliminate some of this nos my lil ones can eat during the day whith out the older ones bothering them ,they prefer to eat later in the evenings so now we have less fighting and happy full bellied cats

This has helped my hectic life. A working mom of 3 with 2 adorable fur babies. I felt bad sometimes when work or children kept me from being home at meal time for my fur babies. With this I just set the timer and know my fur babies are feed on time.

I think this is pretty cool. To have the option of when to feed the animals. So if you go out of town they still have food and it’s heavy enough not to knock it over.

I had two problems. I have one cat that eats too much too fast, and therefore, I have to feed them smaller amounts throughout the day. I was feeding the cats FOUR times a day and it was getting old. Along came the 5-meal pet feeder and my life instantly got easier. Now, I can fill the compartments with the necessary amount of food, schedule up the times for it to be dispensed, and forget about it for 20 hours or so. I thought maybe I’d have a traffic jam with two cats, but so far they’ve been patient and taken turns eating. I’m still trying to get the schedule dialed in because these cats like to sleep all day and eat a ton at night and early morning. Nonetheless, this feeder makes it easy to change the schedule. An added bonus is that I no longer have a bunch of cat food everywhere—it’s very neat and tidy. It’s also very sturdy, so there’s no way they’re going to knock it off the table or break into it and eat all the food somehow. Will be great if we need to leave town for the night, too!

I just got a new puppy and this is perfect for him. He likes to inhale his food so I can put small amounts of food in each container and control when he gets his food. This Petsafe 5 meal pet feeder is exactly what it's name says, a safe! She can't break into it!! You set the time for when the meals are and the dish inside turns with the individual meal trays you pre-fill. I am beyond impressed. I wasn't too sure when I ordered it if it would help. I have a cat that will gorge until he gets sick. I got the feeder all set up and on a timer. He does not eat too much now. He is learning the time between each meal. Im excited that he is yet it and actually benefitting from it;

My job requires that I be out of the house 10 hours or more a day. My pets are fine but tended to eat everything I left them right away and would then be hungry the rest of the day. I got this pet feeder because the one I was using for my cat was an auto feeder that continuously released more food like every time she ate any of the food.

Not only was I concerned about her eating too much food, but she also loved to scrape all of her food out of the bowl and all over the floor.

This new pet feeder has solved both of those problems. The only problem I have had with it at all was that my cat didn't like it and so she wasn't eating out of it. I found her eating the dog food instead. What I did to fix this though, was I mixed some of her treats in with her food. She wanted the treats, so she started eating out of the new feeder.

Also, this isn't a problem for me, but this feeder is really only designed to feed one pet. So if you have more than one pet, you would need separate feeders.

On the positive side of things, I love how easy this is to set up; even the clock and feeding timer are very simple to set.

I'm not sure how long batteries last in this, as I haven't had it very long, but... the operation and functionality of this feeder works like a charm.

I will definitely be recommending this to other people.

This is a great product! We initially started using it when we got it but had purchased it for when we went out of town for a weekend. We were a little nervous, wondering if it would work as well as we hoped. It exceeded our expectations! It worked perfect and our cats were very happy to not miss any feedings while we were gone!

Got this for my cat since I am not always home when it's time to feed her. I can set it up and know that she will be fed on time.

I got this to use as a snack feeder for my dogs and when I received it I was pleasantly surprised at the size of it. It is very easy to set up and programming it was a breeze. The dogs were very happy to be getting snacks consistently and I don't have to worry about missing their snack times. I will say though, that it would probably be better suited for cats or small dogs because my are large and they tend to toss it around a bit.

I have used other pet feeders and let me say, this one by far is the best! The timer was easy to set up and my pets ate from it with 0 hesitation. I love that if I'm out longer than I expect that I know my cats are going to receieve their next serving of food on time and it will be fresh! The storage is great!

This feeder is absolutely wonderful. it makes meal time a breeze. I have 2 younger kids so life gets busy and this helps me out a lot so I don’t accidentally forget to feed the puppy. And it keeps my kids out of his food. It’s easy to add food when the slots are empty as well. And super easy to wash.

This 5 meal pet feeder is amazing! When I first received it I was so excited to take it out and test it out but then I realized it needed four D batteries. So after a trip to the store I was finally able to try it out and I was beyond amazed! This is a great product to have. My little Nelson is no longer waking me up at three every morning. I can set the timer for every 8 hours and he is good. Going for a overnight trip is no longer a hassle. This pet feeder is very easy to set up and use. I did have to take Nelson to it for the first timer so he could hear it to know the sound it makes when it's time to eat. Now he hears it and takes off he knows it's time. I needed one of these long ago.

I have realized that I really had no idea how much I was feeding my cats! I just filled the bowl when it was low. This has been a great tool to help me feed them the amount I am supposed to be feeding them each day. This is very helpful with an older, overweight cat.

The cats took to it right away. No issues. I was concerned that it would be loud or clunky and scare my cats, but it’s not. The programming is easy. If you can set an alarm clock, you can do this. Needs 2 D batteries. The design is slim enough that I just have it on the kitchen floor and it’s not in the way at all.

My dog eats too fast. This is a perfect feeding bowl for him. He can eat several small amounts and it helps his digestion. Very good quality, sturdy design and easy to clean.

I have a crazy schedule that does not always allow me to be home at the same time every evening. This pet feeder saves my poor cat from having to eat on my schedule and I can rest easy, knowing that he's taken care of. I only have to fill it every other day, which is nice, AND there's the added bonus of not having to get up at 5 am to answer Pesto's cries. He can beg the machine for food instead, and it answers! I received my pet feeder and I am in love. It actually looks bigger than what I expect and it’s space saver friendly . My only downside is the big D batteries but other than that my item came on time and no damages . Each little section holds exactly one cup of food for my lil fur baby which is awesome so I am not over feeding her when it’s time to eat . Also the tray is removable and it is dishwasher safe so that’s a big bonus for me ... (Not able to get the batteries at this moment to say how the timer works but I will try and update when my batteries arrive )
