Works great.We have a stubborn dog and she tests the fence constantly. It corrects her and I don’t have to worry about it. Some day it’s mean ; I say it’s better than being roadkill or injured.

I was concerned about whether this would work, but it fired right up.

I have a hard headed dachshound mix who, with his previous collar, was nevertheless willing to run through the electric fence to chase something he wanted to chase after. In a rural area, that is something every few days. With this collar, he has not crashed through the electric fence once since I put the collar on him. What a relief!!!

We bought this system almost 4 years ago to help keep our escape artist Lab inside our fenced in back yard. As long as we keep a fresh battery installed, he absolutely will not go near the boundary. Unfortunately, today we noticed him getting a little close to the fence. After a little troubleshooting, and a new battery, we determined that the collar has served its last tour of duty in the back yard. I will be picking up a new one tomorrow. I just hope it serves Ollie as long as the first one. Thank you for making a good product that has kept our buddy safe for so long.

This is the exact replacement for the one we had. Our dog wears hers everyday so the old one had taken a beating. (Prong socket broke)

We've had this wireless fence for going on 10 years now. This is the first time we've had to purchase replacement collars. I'd say that's a pretty good investment. What's the last electronic item you've had that lasted 10 years? I can't think of one.

I have been very pleased with my pet safe system. I have a fenced yard and live in the country, but have a driveway that leads to a busy county road. I put my ststem under my driveway access only, but had a professional install the electrical box and a heavier wire underground to accomodate tractor and large truck traffic. My dog a border collie respects the boundary wire even if I accidentally forget to put her collar on in the morning. I remove at night when she is inside. The original collar is showing wear and seems a little tight if she gains a little weight in the winter months, but is still working, I have had no problems with the prongs, and have replaced the batteries perhaps three times and have had no problems purchasing them at my local pet store. I love the ability to feel at peace that my beloved pet is safe in my yard. I love my Pet Safe system! I would put another wire under another gate on my property if there was a controller that would operate on a solar charging system as this gate is not near an electrical support. Thank you for a great product.

We love the PetSafe wireless containment system. Our 100# Dobe loves to chase Amish buggies. NO more with our PetSafe system!

We've had our base system for about twenty years with no problems. Chargers on collars have lasted 4-5 years BUT we immediately installed the chargers on flat leather by drilling holes through a new leather collar and pushing the prongs through.

I've had ours for almost two years and it's a lifesaver for our boxers! We are getting ready to purchase another collar for our baby boxer! With 3 extremely hyper boxes it's hard to always keep up! I never have to worry about them getting out into the road or running off while they have collars on and that's a relief! We are able to let them play and romp without worrying!! Thank you!!

I have to dogs that will not learn to stay in yard until I got them the collars and one dog lost his and now I got to get another one but I really like them and I would recommend them to any one who and a dog so they can run free in yard with out a pin or a chain.

The sale price was great and the collars arrived at my home in 4 days. This product is very easy to use. It works perfectly with an older inground fence system. My English Setter was trained in one day. It may of helped that he has been previously trained with a hunting collar but either way.....very happy!

This works great. I never have to worry about my dogs running into the street or chasing cars. They are safe behind the unseen wire and will not cross it. I love it. They are free to roam in my yard and orchard and have plenty of room to romp and play. I will never have to worry about them leaving the yard again, or bothering my neighbors, etc. Thank you Pet Safe.

I've used this fence and collars for 15+ years, through 2 homes and 5 wonderful dogs. Eventually the collars do wear out or get damaged by my dogs. I just call up customer service and they help me get a replacement collar for much less than retail. My fence was struck by a direct lightning hit once as well and the replacement for it was also a simple process and affordable.

I've been using the in-ground system and these collars since 2004. Never had any issues!

I have had these collars on my three dogs for a while and yes I have to change the batteries from time to time but it's less often once they learn the boundaries. My only complaint is the part where the clear plastic piece covers the control button has broken off on all three. The collars still work great, but I would recommend a sturdier place where the plastic won't become so brittle when dogs are playing. Overall, I would order again and again, way better than having to fence the whole yard!

I have been using the system for over 8 years before I had to replace anything. Almost everything was perfect, except the collar.
My dog learned extremely fast, and was happy to run around and play in my huge garden, while it gave me the peace of mind, knowing that he could stay outside for hours without getting lost in the woods (he loved chasing the deer), or running after the cars on the road, especially in the night because the dog is totally black: even a careful driver could have hit him.

The red collar that came with the receiver, was of poor quality, and after a few years, I installed the receiver on another more robust collar.

The initial guaranty was 3 years.

About one year ago, it still worked, but according to the seller who I had called for another problem, was not as good as the news one: he showed me the difference and I agreed.

So I bought the new "improved" one.

This time, the guaranty was only one year, but I did not care too much, because the first one had lasted so many years without problems.

But now the new receiver is really broken: seems that a contact moves inside, so it works on and off, depending on slight movements.
My dog ran away everyday in the past 4 days.

But - well calculated - it broke just a few days after the one year guaranty expired...

I have 4 dogs I love the system but the prongs keep snapping off in the collar so you can’t rep lance just the prong ... currently have two broken collars ... we have already in 6 years bought a total of 5 replacement collars on top of the original 4 we bought

We've had our fence under a year, no problems with the actual fence. We have 2 dogs on the fence, 1 is an English Mastiff and the other is a Cocker Spaniel. The Cocker Spaniel's clip/closure cracked and broke off so we had to go out and search almost an acre of property to find it. We did find it but it is a PAIN to have to go out and search for a collar that you would not expect to break. Recently our English Mastiff has been strolling off the property, she has never done that in the almost year we have had it. First think I did was check the battery and decided to be safe we would change it!! That didn't work so I decided to take off the collar and check it to make sure it worked and it does but there are certain times when it don't. I have it on the highest frequency and I'm hoping this works, I will keep you informed. But us like others are missing the clear caps that cover the button to change the frequency. I don't understand how these pieces can come off unless we take them off, this tells me that there is a malfunction in your manufacturing if we are not the only ones missing these caps!! Then to top it off, you sell these clear caps and expect us to pay for them, something doesn't seem right. If you know these clear caps come off, shouldn't you be trying to fix this issue and offer those caps or free?

We have had the in-ground wire fence for 15 years. We have replace all the components at different points over that time which might be expected but I decided to get new collars this spring. For such a price I would expect a much better quality collar. They have gotten even flimsier over the years. What good it the collar if it is likely to fall off? Seems like I'm not the only one who feels this way. Hope this is taken to heart by Pet Safe. Our pets are depending on it.

We bought this collar in November 2013, and it's already dead. Tried new batteries, but they were not the solution. The original collar that came with the system lasted 3.5 years, but this one half that amount of time. We've also had to replace the transmitter in that time span. It's not affordable if the collar and/or transmitter needs replacing every 1.5-2 years.

Followed instructions but was unable to get it to pair with our base pet safe unit. We have purchased other colors that have paired with the unit.

Had to replace after 2 repairs

We bought this system last year. We are going on our 3rd shock collar because the prongs completely snap off at the base. I've read a lot of the reviews here and petsafes answer is they shouldn't break under normal usage. Excuse me, but, dogs play. Plain and simple. I didn't buy the collars to stop them from doing what they normally do (playing) They should (at the cost of 80 a pc) be redesigned to handle the rough housing that dogs will do together. They work great when they are not breaking. Not pleased that we should have to replace our collars due to normal dog behavior.

I've had to replace several of these over the years. I'm not sure this one lasted even a year. It just stopped working. I have two other collars and they are working. The battery is brand new.

The underground fence has been wonderful except I have discovered after just a few months, the plastic housing on the collar has cracked and is about to completely break in half along the seam line. My dog is only 11 pounds and has not been rough with it. I believe that this is a manufacturing fault and not because of the use. Thank you.

I am now buying my forth collar for my system. I will have had two ultra light weight and stubborn dog collars. The only thing I can figure is they are not as water proof as advertised. My dogs have access to a pond that they get into from time to time.

I used to get 4 - 6 months out of C2032 batteries with earlier collars.

We have had our petsafe underground fence for 8 years and I am now going to have to order yet another collar to replace a broken one. I've lost track and am not sure if this is #4 or 5. One of them the neck prongs broke right off and the others have just stopped working for us. I have also had an issue with buying replacement batteries and them not working when received and the underground wire has had to be fixed multiple times as well... Overall disappointed with this product but it's way to much work and money to replace the whole system for a 3 acre yard...

Did not work

I have 3 of these collars and all of them have some sort of breakage. Two collars have the screw mountings where the clear plastic covers goes into broken at the threads so there is no way to put a new clear plastic cover back in and one collar has completely separated where the two halves join together. There isn't enough electrical or duct tape to hold these collars together.

Battery usage is extremely high and all of our dogs have been thoroughly trained and don't even go near the invisible fence line to set off even the warning signal.

The collars are junk, why would you use stich cheap plastic snap connections that clearly aren't going to last for 5 to 10 years? Cutting back on the dollars spent on production? Clearly.
