Everything You Need to Know About the PIF-300 Wireless Fence:
Watch this great video to learn about features, maintenance and installation instructions, or scroll down to learn more about the PIF-300 instant fence wireless containment system.
The PIF-300 Instant Fence Wireless Containment System prevents pets from wandering off into dangerous or unmonitored areas. By creating an Instant Fence using a constant radio signal, the PIF-300 discourages pets from crossing the boundary zone, while providing them the freedom to roam or play in the safe zone designated by you. Whenever your pet approaches the boundary area, your pet will first receive a warning tone. If your pet continues into the boundary zone, a correction is given.
The PIF-300 is simple to install so if you can plug in a cord, you can install the PIF-300 Instant Fence Wireless Pet Fence! The PIF-300 has no unattractive poles to set up, and no wires to bury. How the PIF-300 Instant Fence Wireless Containment System Works:
Just plug in the IF-100 transmitter somewhere inconspicuous in your home, garage, or tool shed. The IF-100 transmitter will then emit a radio signal which will define the containment boundary for your pet. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar which "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play in your yard. When your pet approaches the boundary of the signal area your pet will receive a warning beep. If your dog does not retreat from the boundary a correction is given. With a little simple training, your dog will quickly learn his boundaries. Setting up your Instant Fence will only take a few minutes and is easy. The transmitter plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet. Since the signal will transmit reliably through walls and other obstructions, it can be placed in any convenient and discreet location, typically in the garage, tool shed, or a closet.
Boundary Control:
Once you have set up the Instant Fence, you can now adjust the range and static correction level that is appropriate for your dog and your yard. Easily adjust the range of your pet's area using the Boundary Control Dial (1-8) and Boundary Switch (Low/High). The signal range from the transmitter to the boundary zone can be adjusted to be anywhere from 5-90 ft. in distance.
Collar Correction Levels:
The static correction levels can also be simply adjusted by using the correction level button. Uncover the correction level button, then press and release it when the LED Indicator lights up. The LED Indicator emits a certain number of flashes to show the level of the static correction. The static correction has 6 levels ranging from no static correction to high static correction.
Key Definitions:
- Transmitter: Transmits the radio signal and is the center
of the Pet Area.
- Pet Area: Distance from the Transmitter where your pet
can roam freely.
- Boundary Zone: 2 to 3 foot wide area outside the
Pet Area where your pet’s Receiver Collar will begin to
beep and then begin to deliver a Static Correction. The
correction will start in the Boundary Zone and continue
anywhere beyond the Pet Area. Note: The Receiver Collar is
equipped with a safety time-out feature that will stop correcting
after 30 seconds if your pet remains outside the Pet Area.
- Receiver Collar: Receives the radio signal from the
Transmitter.
- Correction Level Button: Adjusts the level of Static
Correction your pet receives outside the Pet Area.
- Receiver Indicator Light: Indicates the level of
correction at which the Receiver Collar is set. This light
also serves as a low battery indicator.
- Contact Points: Deliver the safe Static Correction when
your pet moves into the Boundary Zone.
- Power Jack: Where the Power Adapter plugs into the
Transmitter. The Transmitter is powered by a standard
120-volt outlet.
- Boundary Switch: Adjust according to the size of the Pet
Area desired.
- Power Light: Indicates when the Transmitter is on.
Boundary Control Dial: Adjusts the distance from the
Transmitter to the Boundary Zone. Note: Adjusting the dial
does not change the level of Static Correction on the Receiver
Collar.
